Fender Japan 62 Reissue Relic

Fender Japan 62 Reissue Stratocaster with alder body and Texas Special pickups in vintage white. This guitar has been given a custom relic finish and aging process to make it look every bit like an origianal 62 strat that has been gigged every weekend for 40 years ! Body has had the poly finish mostly removed and paint has been reliced to gave an aged feel, parts have been dirtied and aged, substitute dots have been used to resemble the original clay dots, the laquer has been "worn" on the neck, and off course it has the obligatory dents, scratches, and cigarette burn. The Crafted in Japan and serial no have been removed and a vintage serial no engraved on the neck plate. Truely an amazing and authentic finish. And as a extra benefit, because the thick poly finish has mostly been removed the tones are now just incredable.

Will you know this is not an original 62 stratocaster...yes, but you will have to look closely.

These Japanese 62 reissue guitars are as good as the American reissues in almost every aspect, and there has been as much if not more detail in this relic as any USA Custom Shop guitar. So we think we are offering a real bargin here.
